Learn Tamil teaches spoken, colloquial Tamil — the kind used in everyday conversation. This is different from the formal, written Tamil taught in most textbooks and courses.
No. The app uses transliteration (Tamil words written in English letters) so you can focus on listening and speaking. Tamil script support may be added in the future.
Make sure you've granted microphone permission to the Learn Tamil app in your device settings. On iOS, go to Settings > Learn Tamil > Microphone. On Android, go to Settings > Apps > Learn Tamil > Permissions > Microphone.
You can delete your account from the Profile screen in the app, or follow the instructions on our account deletion page.
