How to delete your account
Option 1: In the app
- Open the Learn Tamil app
- Go to your Profile screen
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Option 2: By email
Send an email to shri@learntamil.ai from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Delete my account". We will process your request within 48 hours.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed within 30 days:
- Your account profile (email, display name, preferences)
- All lesson progress and completion records
- Vocabulary progress and spaced repetition state
- Streak and activity history
- Exercise attempt logs
Anonymous, aggregated analytics data (which cannot be linked back to you) may be retained.
Important notes
- Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your learning progress will be lost.
- If you signed in with Google or Apple, deleting your Learn Tamil account does not affect your Google or Apple account.
- After deletion, you can create a new account, but your previous progress will not be recoverable.
